Dan Kully is a communications expert and award-winning media consultant with over 15 years of experience advising a host of corporations, organizations, candidates and issue campaigns in over 30 states.
Dan’s services include crisis communications, media and message training, message development, project management and television and radio advertising.
In Washington State alone, Dan has provided messaging and strategic support for Comcast Communications, Puget Sound Partnership, Sound Transit, Washington Beer and Wine Association and Keep Washington Rolling, a coalition that helped defeat Initiative 912 – a gas tax repeal effort that threatened to cut off a crucial funding source for transit in the state.
Dan and his partners are also currently working with Insight Communications, the nation’s seventh largest cable company based in New York, on message development, strategy and advertising preparing them for ongoing negotiations with local televisions on the issue of retransmission fees.
In addition to his role at Sound View Strategies, Dan is the managing Partner of the National political media consulting firm, Kully Hall Struble and has served as the media consultant to many elected officials including Governors, Members of the US Senate and House, and locally working with King County Executive Dow Constantine.
He has also advised numerous ballot measure campaigns, from helping pass crucial transportation initiatives, defeating efforts to privatize liquor stores, defeating anti-tax measures, and passing crucial education funding in nearly every Western State.
Dan holds a B.A. from Colgate University and lives with his wife and their two daughters in Seattle, Washington.
